 Location

The Lake & Shore Recreation Centre entrance is located on the south side of the new Porter’s Lake Elementary School on Inspiration Drive (off the William Porter Connector Road). Please see the Map below for reference. The Centre serves District 3 citizens and may make use of various adjoining and nearby resources for its programming including the adjoining soccer field, local roads, lakes and trails.

The Lake & Shore Community Recreation Centre is run as a municipally-owned, volunteer operated (MOVO) facility. The Lake & Shore Community Recreation Society is a non-profit organization created to allow for community-based management of the HRSB owned/HRM leased recreation center built as an annex to Porters Lake Elementary School .The Recreation Centre opened in September, 2011
